1995 – 1998 Scientific assistant and Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, Ludmig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany.

1997 – 2000. Scientific assistant (Wissenschaftlicher Assistent) in the department of mineralogy and applied geochemistry at the Technische Universität München, Germany. 

Since Oct. 2000 scientist at the geology department, CICESE, by means of the Academic's Exchange Agreement among SEP-CONACYT and the DAAD.
